1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to the Daily Health Coach mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Darius Harrison (“we,” “us,” or “our”). It does not replace the privacy terms of Apple, Clerk, OpenAI, PostHog, or other services you choose to use with the app.
2. Information we collect
Account and profile information
We collect information needed to create and secure your account, such as your name, email address, phone number, authentication provider, internal account identifiers, preferences, timezone, and profile details. Clerk provides authentication and may process sign-in credentials, verification details, device information, and social sign-in identifiers on our behalf. We do not receive your Apple or Google password.
Fitness, nutrition, and wellness information
We collect goals, workout plans and logs, exercise results, meal plans, food and hydration entries, habits, progress, notes, and other wellness information you choose to provide. This information may reveal health-related details and is used to provide coaching, planning, and progress features.
Apple Health and HealthKit
With your permission, the app can read HealthKit data including steps, workouts, heart rate, active energy, and water intake, and can write workouts that you start through the app. HealthKit access is optional and controlled in Apple Health settings. The current app reads and displays HealthKit data on your device; it does not upload raw HealthKit records to our servers. Workout plans and logs that you create in the Service are separate app records and may be stored on our servers.
We do not use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, profiling unrelated to health and fitness, sale to data brokers, or decisions about credit, employment, or insurance. We do not sell HealthKit data.
Location
If you enable location automations, the app uses precise location and background geofencing to save places and run a prompt when you enter a region. Saved coordinates, radius settings, and monitored regions are currently stored on your device. When a region triggers, the saved prompt and resulting assistant conversation are sent to our servers; coordinates are not included unless you put them in the prompt yourself. You can disable location access in iOS Settings and remove saved triggers in the app.
Voice and speech
Voice input uses your microphone and Apple’s speech-recognition services to turn speech into text. We do not store microphone audio. A transcript becomes ordinary chat content when you submit it and is then handled as described under AI chats below. Apple may process audio or speech data under its own privacy terms when speech recognition is used.
AI chats and generated content
We store messages, conversation history, assistant responses, feedback, saved memories, and content generated from your requests so conversations can work across sessions. Prompts may include profile details, goals, plans, recent conversation context, and other information you ask the assistant to use. Relevant prompt content is sent to OpenAI to generate responses. Do not enter information you do not want processed by an AI provider.
Usage, device, and diagnostics
We and PostHog collect limited product analytics such as an internal user identifier, screens viewed, feature events, app lifecycle events, device and operating-system details, timestamps, and approximate network information. PostHog session replay, automatic element capture, chat content, email addresses, authentication tokens, and sensitive wellness content are disabled or filtered in the current app. The website also uses LaunchDarkly to deliver feature flags and may send basic device, environment, and feature-evaluation information.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Retention and security
We retain account data and user content while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type. Deleted data may remain temporarily in encrypted backups or security logs before aging out. We use access controls, encryption in transit, and other safeguards designed to protect information, but no storage or transmission system is completely secure.
6. Your choices and rights
- Change HealthKit, location, microphone, speech, and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
- Review or change app profile, plan, habit, workout, meal, and automation information where controls are available.
- Delete your account from Settings. Account deletion does not cancel an active App Store subscription.
- Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable law provides those rights.
You can manage an App Store subscription through your Apple account. For help exercising a privacy right, visit our Support page.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it as appropriate.
8. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We will update the effective date and provide any additional notice required by law. Questions or requests can be sent through our Support page.
